Found across Africa, Egypt, Syria, India, and all the way to Myanmar, this tiny butterfly packs a visual punch with colorful wings nicknamed for their jewel-like appearance. The topaz-spotted blue belongs to the lycaenid family, celebrated throughout the insect world for their brilliant iridescent colors. Despite its diminutive size—barely larger than a postage stamp—this little wanderer has mastered the art of long-distance travel, showing up wherever its host plants thrive across multiple continents. Watch for it in arid regions where acacias and other thorny plants flourish.
