In Mali's Dogon Country, this scorpion is so common in homes that locals have essentially domesticated it through coexistence—finding one in your house is just part of everyday life. Like its dangerous cousin, it carries potent venom in its swollen tail, yet it's considerably less medically alarming. This species demonstrates how some scorpions have evolved to tolerate human proximity rather than aggressively defend themselves. It's a fascinating example of how predator and prey can cohabitate successfully with mutual respect.
