Here's a fun identity crisis: this ladybug has two completely different disguises. Most of the time you'll see pale gray or tan wing covers dotted with tiny black spots β but some individuals flip the script entirely, appearing black with bold red spots and a white collar. It's like someone photocopied the species twice and hit 'invert colors' on half of them. Scientists aren't entirely sure why the species maintains both looks, but both versions are equally common.
