This stunning damselfly earns its 'forest glory' name with dramatically black-tipped wings that contrast against its body. A resident of the lush forests of India and Sri Lanka, this species spends its time fluttering through dense woodland vegetation and streams. The family Calopterygidae are known as jewel damselflies for good reasonβ€”they're among the most colorful and eye-catching damselflies you'll encounter. Their wing patterns are used in elaborate courtship displays, making them as much a show-off as they are beautiful.
