This hardy moth commands vast territories from the Mediterranean to the Arctic. Found throughout Europe and Asia's Palearctic zone and the Near East, it's equally at home across North America's boreal regionsβfrom Canada's Arctic territories down through all of Canada and the northern tier of the United States. First documented in 1764, this carpet moth has been holding its expansive range for over 260 years, making it one of the longest-known members of the Geometridae family across both continents.
