The "common gull" is anything but ordinary despite its understated common name. This small to medium-sized butterfly belongs to the Pieridae familyβ€”the yellows and whites, which includes roughly 1,100 species worldwide. Found across Sri Lanka, India, China, Southeast Asia, and Indonesia, it's one of the most geographically widespread butterflies in its region, thriving in diverse tropical and subtropical habitats.
