Those 'praying' hands aren't religious devotion—they're lethal ambush weapons that snap shut in a fraction of a second. This species is perfectly engineered for hunting: a triangular head that swivels nearly 180 degrees, enormous compound eyes, and specially modified foreleg blades built for capturing fast-moving or flying prey. It's basically a tiny alien assassin, and its iconic posture is so distinctive that the entire mantis order got its name from this one hunting pose.
