This emerald or golden jumping spider earned a reputation for size — it's fairly large for a jumping spider, making it a solitary hunter capable of tackling substantial prey. Its appearance is strikingly beautiful: a green or black body striped with white lines running down each side of its head, and a white border framing the top of its abdomen. Down the center runs a neat midline of hairs decorated with small white dots and lines, giving it the appearance of a tiny living jewel. These visual hunters rely on exceptional vision and precision to stalk and ambush their meals with spectacular accuracy.
