These ants can leap several inches into the air—an unusual ability for such small creatures. With large forward-facing eyes and impressive mandibles, they're active hunters prowling in early morning searching for prey. Their vision and jaws give them an almost alien predatory look compared to other ants.

Despite their hunting prowess, colonies remain surprisingly small and egalitarian. The difference between workers and queens is nearly imperceptible, making social hierarchies fluid and flexible. This unusual flexibility makes them fascinating models for studying ant social evolution.
