This beauty is impossibly striking: a vibrant jewel-green shield bug splashed with distinctive pinkish-red markings across its wings and corium. At 9-10.5 mm, it's a genuinely large specimen for a shield bug, making it much easier to spot as it moves slowly through juniper plants. The color contrast alone makes it one of the showiest true bugs in its entire rangeβproof that nature didn't skimp on beauty when designing insects. Finding one of these colorful bugs feels like discovering a tiny jewel hidden in the foliage.
