If there's something edible—or once was—this beetle will find it and devour it. Larder beetles are found in nearly every corner of the globe, happily munching on dried meat, fish, pet food, leather, feathers, cheese, and even the priceless insect specimens in museums. They're basically tiny, armored food critics with an impossibly broad palate, and they thrive in the warm, cluttered spaces of human storage and homes.

Their name says it all: they're the nemesis of the larder, the pantry invader that makes food storage a constant battle. Once they move in, getting them out takes serious effort.

Think you can identify this one in the wild?
