GenusZelus (Zelus)
A master predator that hunts during the day, this assassin bug has conquered the globe. Originally native to western North and Central America, it has spread to three other continents, making it one of the most successfully invasive beneficial insects. Found equally at home on wild plants and crop plants, it's a reminder that sometimes the bugs that hitchhike around the world aren't pests—they're heroes eating the pests. This is one invasion we can celebrate.
