Named for its specialty for lime tree seeds, this ground bug represents an evolutionary bet on a single food source. It's high-risk specialization: what happens if the lime trees fail? Yet the fact that this species has survived tells us the gamble worked. Found in Mediterranean regions where lime trees flourish, they're a perfect example of how nature rewards extreme focus. Their narrow diet is a strategy that only succeeds when you've picked a truly reliable food source.
