The name says it all: minuta means this jumping spider is genuinely tiny, yet it possesses the oversized personality and visual prowess typical of its family. Despite its diminutive size, these small but mighty hunters have remarkable vision and hunting acuity. Like other jumping spiders, they hunt during the day, relying entirely on their remarkable eyesight to stalk and capture prey with precision.

Despite being tiny, this species has managed to thrive across a vast geographic range spanning from eastern Russia through Canada and down into the United States. Their compact frames actually give them advantages in navigating dense vegetation where larger predators cannot go. Size is no barrier to ecological success in the world of jumping spiders.
