This invasive superstar has become one of the world's most successful ants. Though native to South America, it's now found worldwide—from Asia to Europe to Australia. The real trick? They build massive soil mounds but hide their actual entrances, so workers emerge far from the nest. This makes them hard to track and control. The colony is polymorphic, with workers appearing in many different sizes and shapes, giving them flexibility for different tasks. They thrive in almost any habitat: rainforests, deserts, grasslands, even electrical equipment. Completely adaptable, they're an ecological nightmare wherever they show up.
