Look for the vivid red beetles clustered on milkweed plants — they're so loyal to their food source that you could practically predict where to find them. These are specialist feeders that won't touch anything else, painting themselves bright red as a warning to hungry predators that they're toxic from the milkweed they've consumed. It's a bold evolutionary bet: instead of hiding, they advertise their danger with those fiery colors.
