A two-stage agricultural menace, this spotted beetle attacks crops in both its larval and adult forms—and neither form shows any mercy. Underground, the larvae gnaw relentlessly on plant roots during the critical seedling stage, causing the most catastrophic damage. Above ground, the adults are equally destructive, stripping leaves, flowers, stems, and fruits. But the real kicker? They're also disease vectors, transmitting bacterial wilt and mosaic virus to their host plants. For farmers, a spotted cucumber beetle infestation is a season-threatening disaster.
