These beetles earned their stripes by going all-in on the antennae. While most beetles settle for normal-sized feelers, longhorns sport antennae that are as long as—or longer than—their entire bodies. Adults are gentle visitors to flowers, sipping nectar and pollen with style. But their larvae tell a different story: they're serious wood-borers that tunnel through deadwood, playing a key role in forest decomposition.
You'll spot the adults in summer gardens with their characteristic spotted pattern standing out against green vegetation.
