Talk about an all-female power squad! This species is nearly entirely female and reproduces through parthenogenesis—meaning they essentially clone themselves without needing males at all. Evolution has crafted multiple distinct clonal strains, creating nature's ultimate reproductive shortcut.

Originally from the Indomalayan region, these roaches have become common plant pests globally by hitchhiking in potted soil. While they've conquered tropical greenhouses worldwide, some isolated populations have even braved temperate climates—all while maintaining their all-female lineups.
