Measuring just 5-6mm, this jumping spider packs serious visual drama: twin pennant-shaped "flags" of iridescent setae that shift between white, green, and pink depending on the light. These aren't decorative—they're serious biological signals used in courtship displays and spider-to-spider communication, essentially the peacock tail of the jumping spider world.
Found from Mexico to South Carolina, this tiny acrobat hunts atop leaf-litter and man-made structures with the focus of a much larger predator. The iridescent scales that create those signature flags reveal a visual world far richer and stranger than we once imagined.
