Western Marbled Emperor Heniocha bioculata

This African saturniid moth earns its imperial name through spectacular marbled wing patterns that look almost hand-painted across both wings. Found across a vast swath of southern and central Africa—from Angola and Botswana through to East Africa—they represent the remarkable diversity of large, visually stunning moths on the continent.
