These tiny spiders have turned theft into a fine art. Rather than building their own webs, they've evolved a brilliant strategy called kleptoparasitismβsneaking into other spiders' webs and stealing freshly caught prey. Found across Australia, New Zealand, and New Caledonia, these dew drop spiders are unwelcome roommates in cobweb spider colonies, silently raiding the pantry. Their diminutive size and lightning-fast movements make them perfectly suited for this risky lifestyle. They dart in, snatch a meal, and vanish before their hosts notice. Nature's tiny shoplifters, living on the margins of other spiders' hard work.
