GenusCrow Butterflies (Euploea)
This butterfly has earned itself multiple regional nicknames depending on where you look: the common crow, common Indian crow, or Australian crow. What really sets it apart is that it belongs to the famous "crows and tigers" subfamily Danainaeโa group known for being toxic to predators and flaunting their poison with bold, warning colors. It's a globe-spanning traveler from South Asia all the way to Australia, one of the most widely distributed butterflies in its range. A true cosmopolitan of the butterfly world.
