These small but striking flower beetles are hard to miss on a sunny day. Measuring just 10-15 millimeters, members of this genus wear bold black backgrounds with white dots, stripes, or other markings. Each species displays its own distinctive patternβ€”like characters from a nature field guide. As chafers, they're active during daylight, busily foraging and feeding on flower petals and pollen. Their combination of small size, bold appearance, and daytime activity makes them surprisingly easy to spot during summer blooming season when flowers are at their peak.
