The "rough" woodlouse lives nearly everywhere on Earth thanks to hitchhiking with human cargo and trade. Originally native to Europe, it has spread to become one of the most commonly encountered isopods across the globe. This species is so abundant that it sustains entire food webs, with countless predators depending on it as a staple meal. Its adaptability makes it a true survivor.
