This desert giant reaches several inches in length, earning its place among the largest centipedes in North America. With multiple regional names—Texas redheaded, Arizona desert, and giant Sonoran centipede—its reputation spans the Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico. What makes it truly impressive isn't just size, but its powerful venom and predatory prowess, capable of taking down creatures far larger than most centipedes would dare attempt. The combination of speed, strength, and toxin makes this creature a genuine apex invertebrate predator. Respect from considerable distance is highly recommended.
