This 60 mm black scorpion is instantly recognizable by its distinctly granulated tail—fine ridges that give it a rough texture. While its venom works effectively against prey, here's good news for humans: it's not deadly, though it can cause localized swelling if you're stung. The coloring varies by individual and lighting, but the distinctive tail is always unmistakable. It's a perfect example of non-lethal venom that can still pack a punch when needed—just not a fatal one for us.
