Here's a true rarity: one of Canada's rarest dragonflies, described as recently as 1954 by Canadian entomologist Adrien Robert — who was also a Cleric of Saint Viator. This dedication to both faith and insects is remarkable. The Quebec Emerald joins just 42 species in its entire genus, and all are found in the Northern Hemisphere. Its late discovery makes it among the most recently described Odonata species in the region. Finding one of these is a privilege for any dragonfly enthusiast.
