Females of this Australian orb-weaver are many times larger than males, and it's common to see multiple males sharing a single female's web. Found along Australia's east coast from Victoria to Queensland, it thrives in suburban parks and gardens, particularly among the leaves of Lomandra longifolia plants. You'll spot mature females during summer months when populations peak and webs are most visible. This extreme sexual size difference is characteristic of many orb-web spiders, creating an interesting dynamic where the web becomes home to individuals of wildly different sizes, all cooperating in the space.
