This humble jumping spider punches way above its weight. As a common sight across North America, these hunters have earned devoted fans among arachnophiles for good reason. Their enormous forward-facing eyes give them incredible visionβsome say better than many mammals. They're agile hunters that can leap up to 50 times their body length, pouncing on prey with startling precision. Watch one hunt and you'll realize that not all spiders lurk in webs: some are tiny, fearless predators.
