Meet the bumblebee that's actually thriving. While many of their cousins face declining populations, this species is remarkably stable—abundant and healthy across the eastern U.S. and Canada. Their distinctive two yellow spots on the abdomen make them one of the easiest bumbles to identify in the field.

Unlike specialist bees that rely on one flower type, they're generalist foragers, feeding at a wide variety of plants. That dietary flexibility makes them reliable pollinators across diverse ecosystems. In a world of declining bee populations, a stable and abundant species is genuinely good news.
