Vietnamese Centipede Scolopendra dehaani

This scolopendrid is a genuine giant found across mainland Southeast Asia, India, Japan, Hong Kong, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It represents some of the largest centipedes in its range, with the power and speed to subdue vertebrate prey much larger than itself. Humans in its native regions both fear and respect this species, and for good reason. This centipede is a top predator wherever it lives, commanding attention from any creature it encounters.
